Eric Santos recently joined the firm as a partner in its litigation department. Notably, Eric was recently recognized by Best Lawyers as “Ones to Watch in 2027” for his work in commercial litigation.


A longtime Hudson Valley lawyer, Eric maintains a wide range of experience in litigation ranging from premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, personal injury claims to commercial disputes, involving breaches of contract and shareholder derivative litigation involving closely held companies. As a seasoned litigator, Eric personally handles all of his cases from start to finish, providing his clients with a tailored and professional touch throughout every stage of litigation.


Throughout his career, Eric has represented small businesses, hospitals, nursing homes, school districts, insurance companies and large multinational corporations, representing them against injury claims and other matters against their business interests or prosecuting for them in actions against other entities in the pursuit of justice.


Eric served as an assistant special prosecutor for the Town of Fishkill for many years, widening his practice to include the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law. 


Eric is well known for his work in the community. Eric is a co-founder of the Hudson Valley Hispanic Bar Association (“HVHBA”), a bustling attorney bar association that has grown to become a staple in the Hispanic legal community. Based in the Ninth Judicial District, the HVHBA spans multiple counties and includes among its ranks many notable judges, attorneys, law students and business professionals living or working in the Hudson Valley. Eric served as the HVHBA’s first President, putting the wheels in motion for what has become a successful and rising organization. After his Presidency, Eric went on to serve on the HVHBA’s board for many years. After completing his terms, Eric remains a committed member of the association and dedicated to its mission.


Finally, Eric serves on the Second Department, Appellate Division’s Character and Fitness Committee for the Ninth Judicial District. In his spare time, Eric reviews Character and Fitness applications and interviews aspiring lawyers seeking admission to the New York State Bar.
