Paul
McDermott joined the firm in 1967, shortly
after graduating from Hamilton College
and Cornell University.
His practice
concentrates in personal injury law,
insurance defense, commercial litigation,
products liability law, and construction
and accident law. He is an experienced
litigator who has conducted numerous
jury trials to verdict, and has represented
clients in arbitrations and mediations.
He also has an active appellate practice. Mr. McDermott has obtained multi-million
dollar verdicts and recoveries for his
personal injury clients.
A resident of Middletown, Mr. McDermott
currently serves as a Director of
the Middletown YMCA and of Orange
County Trust Company, where he is
also its counsel. In the past, he
has served on the Boards of the Sarah
Wells Girl Scout Council, the Middletown
Day Nursery and the Board of Governors
of the Orange County Golf Club.
